ROLE OVERVIEW

The Chief Student Success Officer (CSSO) holds and implements a vision for integrated student support and encouragement that enables every child to succeed.  This person will be an incredibly committed individual who believes that all children are capable of realizing their true potential.

 

The Chief Student Success Officer will oversee one (1) special education educator and report to and work closely with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to design, implement, and ensure a culture of support and achievement.

 

The Mission of DreamHouse is to empower homegrown leaders who are affirmed in their identity and committed to affecting positive change in our island community.  The school model, curriculum, and schedule align to this mission, and the founding cohort of educators, families, and children are key partners in determining the culture and direction of the school.  DreamHouse will focus primarily on inquiry-based learning, 21st century skill-building, leadership, identity development, and ensuring all children are supported in a rigorous, supportive learning environment.  The school will be the community’s first charter, with plans to grow a founding cohort of 100 6th graders into a full middle and high school, providing grades 6-12 to a student body of 700 by the 2024-25 school year.  The school will begin its 2019-20 school year at Laulani Village Shopping Plaza in ‘Ewa Beach.
