Security Guard

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

Security Guards are responsible for securing the property by inspecting buildings, the perimeter and other areas to ensure the premises are clear of unauthorized individuals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties are but not limited to the following:

Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and scanning all Deggy checkpoints within designated times.
Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
Control guest traffic and clear premises of unauthorized individuals before and after operating hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma.
Adhere to work schedules and maintain regular attendance.
Able to read and comprehend documents such as instructions, safety rules and procedural manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to deal with and solve problems.
Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time
Must be able to work in an environment that can be at times high paced and stressful
Must be able to work in all types of inclement weather conditions.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work unsupervised
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs
Proficiency in the English Language
