Chief Operations / Financial Officer (COO/CFO)

ROLE OVERVIEW

DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach is searching for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, organizational leader to serve as the founding Chief Operating / Financial Officer (COO/CFO) of our start-up school.  This person would persevere through the challenges, use creativity to “do a lot with a little”, and bring energy and efficiency to the school through smooth operations and transparent finances.

The Chief Operating / Financial Officer will report to and work closely with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to lead the operations, organizational, and financial strategy.

The Mission of DreamHouse is to empower homegrown leaders who are affirmed in their identity and committed to affecting positive change in our island community.  The school model, curriculum, and schedule align to this mission, and the founding cohort of educators, families, and children are key partners in determining the culture and direction of the school.  DreamHouse will focus primarily on inquiry-based learning, 21st century skill-building, leadership, identity development, and ensuring all children are supported in a rigorous, supportive learning environment.  The school will be the community’s first charter, with plans to grow a founding cohort of 100 6th graders into a full middle and high school, providing grades 6-12 to a student body of 700 by the 2024-25 school year.  The school will begin its 2019-20 school year at Laulani Village Shopping Plaza in ‘Ewa Beach.
